Plaice with Cream and Mushrooms

Ingredients

Serves 4

4 Plaice Fillets
225g / 8oz Sliced Mushrooms
10ml / 2 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper
25g / 1oz Butter
150ml / 1/4 pt Single Cream

Perperation and Cooking

1.  Arrange the plaice in a greased flameproof dish.

2.  Place the mushrooms on top, pour over the lemon juice and season to taste with salt and pepper.

3.  Dot with butter and bake in a preheated oven at 180oC / 350oF / gas mark 4 (reduce heat by 10o - 20o for fan assisted ovens) for about 30 mins basting frequently.

4.  When ready to serve pour the cream over the top and brown under a hot grill.
